TalkSwitch IP PBX and Covad Provide Enhanced VoIP to SMBs

Making every call count, TalkSwitch today announced that its IP PBXs have been tested and approved for interoperability with Covad's Integrated Access service, a combined phone and Internet service.

This integration will help the companies provide highly cost-effective SIP-based VoIP with managed QoS.

With Covad's (News - Alert) Integrated Access service, TalkSwitch customers can take advantage of managed quality of service (QoS) for VoIP that extends to their premises, superior flexibility for call handling based on directory numbers and a solution that scales based on their budget as their business grows.

"Covad and TalkSwitch (News - Alert) have successfully tested the operation of SIP Trunks using Covad's Integrated Access service and the TalkSwitch IP PBX equipped for VoIP," said Jake Heinz, vice president and general manager, Covad VoIP. "This solution allows Covad to offer customers a cost-effective solution for integrated phone and Internet accessibility."

According to TalkSwitch CEO and President, Jan Scheeren, “TalkSwitch owners and Resellers can now benefit from Covad's Integrated Access SIP Trunk services in most major cities across the USA.”

Pricing for TalkSwitch systems equipped for VoIP services start at $995, and can be purchased through authorized TalkSwitch resellers or directly from www.talkswitch.com.

As the developer of owner-friendly phone systems for small and multi-location businesses, TalkSwitch has sold over 35,000 phone systems. With a growing global network of resellers, distributors and partners, TalkSwitch's fully hybrid phone systems are changing the way small businesses communicate.

As the first company to commercially deploy DSL in the United States, Covad is a broadband innovator. The company owns and operates the largest national broadband network, and today it is the only national facilities-based provider of data, voice, and wireless telecommunications solutions for small and medium-sized businesses.

Covad also provides high-bandwidth access for telecommunications services providers like EarthLink, AOL, and AT&T (News - Alert). Covad broadband and voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) services are currently available in 44 states and 235 major markets and can be purchased by more than 57 million homes and businesses.
