Netbiscuits Hosts Mobile Web Developer Challenge

In conjunction with Yankee Group's upcoming Mobile Internet World
conference, Netbiscuits, sponsor of the MIW Developers Summit, is
inviting people to compete in the first Mobile Web Developer Challenge.
According to company officials, participants will submit their own
Mobile Websites, portals, communities, games, download centers, video
channels, shops, campaigns, or landing pages created with a free trial
of the Netbiscuits platform. Submissions entered by 11:59 p.m. PT on
October 15th will be judged by a panel of industry experts on design,
fluidity, content and execution to win free access to professional
development tools used by eBay, Yahoo!, and Nokia.
The Netbiscuits development platform is a Web-based interface that
allows development of Mobile Websites and applications that work on
every phone across all carriers, worldwide.
"If you are a coder, just download Netbiscuits' plug-ins and snippets
for your preferred IDE, connect your server to our API and write your
Mobile Web apps line by line", says Lars Hartkopf, Netbiscuits' Head of
Marketing, "If you are a designer, use the Netbiscuits drag & drop site
builder to create next generation Mobile Web experiences, hosted by
Netbiscuits. Either way the platform is easy to use and helps anyone to
create rich media sites that are seamlessly optimized for all mobile
handsets worldwide. Once registered, all applications and Websites
developed will be automatically submitted into the contest."
A panel of judges representing industry experts from mobile companies
such as Yahoo!, Ebay, Cisco, and Nokia Interactive will announce
winners at Yankee Group's Mobile Internet World Developer Summit in
Boston. Winners will be announced at 12:30 pm PT on Oct. 21st at
Netbiscuits' booth #407. The 6 best Mobile Websites will win prizes
worth more than $40,000.
In addition to the contest, Netbiscuits said it will be hosting a
series of Mobile Web development best practice workshops at the Mobile
Internet World conference.
Netbiscuits operates a B2B web software platform for development,
publishing and advertising in the Mobile Internet.
