While developers are still working on apps for the iPad, which will be released this weekend, they’re also warming up to Android (News - Alert).
A survey conducted by Appcelerator found that 80 percent of the participating developers were “very interested” in building at least one iPad app in 2010, but that’s down 10 points from a similar survey in January.
Developer interest in the iPad 'cooled' when developers learned that the iPad wouldn't have a camera or — more significantly — multitasking, Computerworld reports.
Appcelerator also surveyed developers about overall interest in various mobile platforms and iPhone (News - Alert) came in first place, with 87 percent saying they're 'very interested' in the platform.
Android, with 81 percent 'very interested,' came in second place, an 18 percentage point jump from the January survey.
