Wind River announced that it has integrated support for HP BladeSystem carrier-grade and enterprise server blades, into its industry-leading Carrier Grade Linux, referred to as CGL, operating system, tools and build system.
CGL 4.0 solution supported on HP ProLiant server blades allows customers to standardize on one common carrier grade operating system platform, enabling high reliable networks to be built across many platforms.
P re-configured system profiles make it easy to jump-start device-specific development and allow device manufacturers to bring their products to market easier, faster, and more cost-effectively than ever before.

Customers are able to focus resources on product differentiation and revenue impacting activities, rather than spending time and effort on open source integration and maintenance, only when they have a development ready platform. Wind River Linux 3.0, provides a set of pre-configured system profiles
for vertical industries including networking, and industrial market systems.
