Ingres and FRANK Linux Systems Enter into Distribution Partnership for Austria
By Anil SharmaIngres Corporation, an open source database management company, and FRANK Linux Systems, a value added reseller, have entered into a comprehensive distribution partnership for the Austrian market.
While disclosing this, Ingres officials said that as part of the agreement, FRANK Linux Systems will distribute the company’s solutions and services to the specialized trade market in Austria.
Officials view the agreement with FRANK Linux Systems as a further milestone in the company’s global partner strategy, with the Austrian market providing open source growth potential.
As a Red Hat distributor, FRANK Linux Systems and its customers can take advantage of the recently announced Ingres Development Stack for JBoss, which the company claims is the first-ever fully pre-assembled bundle that combines Ingres Database with Red Hat’s (News - Alert) JBoss Developer Studio and JBoss Enterprise Application Platform.
The Ingres Development Stack for JBoss that is available immediately as a 90-day evaluation includes all the components of the Ingres Database and JBoss Developer Studio, offering businesses superlative technologies at a fraction of the cost of proprietary vendors.
“Companies are seeking to implement solutions that not only perform securely and reliably, particularly in mission-critical situations, but which also offer maximum flexibility and cost-effectiveness,” said Anita Frank, managing director of business development and marketing, FRANK Linux Systems, in a statement.
Frank said that with Ingres, the company has found the optimum partner as the database unites all the open source advantages with outstanding performance. This was also confirmed by the latest Gartner (News - Alert) analyst report, which verifies that Ingres Database is best for use in mission-critical applications.
“Our partners and their end customers are critically important to us because their success is our success,” said Bertram Mandel, vice president, sales and services and managing director, Ingres Germany.
Mandel said that whether a reseller, specialized distributor, system integrator, or OEM, the company’s partners receive the support they need in order to provide their end customers with a fully flexible, attractive, and sustainable IT solution.
“We welcome FRANK Linux Solutions into our partner organization and look forward to working with this leading Red Hat distributor,” he said.
