Compiere Releases New Manufacturing ERP Solution Available On-Premise

Open source and Cloud-based ERP business solutions provider, Compiere, Inc., has reportedly unveiled the details of Compiere Manufacturing, a manufacturing ERP solution developed on an open source platform.

According to the company, the latest Compiere Manufacturing is an end-to-end planning and control solution that streamlines and automates critical business processes resulting in lower manufacturing costs and improved efficiencies.

It is a tightly integrated, industrial-strength manufacturing solution encompassing all aspects of manufacturing including MRP, Production Control, Cost Management, and Reporting. And it is low cost, available on-premise or using cloud computing, says the company.

Don Klaiss, Compiere president and CEO said, “Compiere Manufacturing is another example of our commitment to invest in expanding our technologies across new and growing industries. This product delivers a winning combination of essential manufacturing functionality, along with a modern and adaptable web-based platform that offers our customers the choice of deploying on-premise, SaaS (News - Alert) or on the Cloud, resulting in a very compelling total cost of ownership model.”

In addition, the latest solution includes purchasing, materials management, order management and global financial management functionality. It incorporates MRP engine and use forecasts, customer orders and inventory levels to create a material plan and automatically generate purchase and work orders.

Also, Planner's Workbench in the system provides visibility in gross and net demand based on available inventory, open purchase orders and open work orders. Dynamic re-planning provides immediate recommendations based on changes in demand, according to the company.

“We are delighted that Compiere has made the investment to expand its manufacturing capabilities,” said Remus Cazacu, general manager of BIT Software, a European-based Compiere Silver Partner. “Manufacturing is a huge market opportunity for both Compiere and BIT Software; with Compiere's new manufacturing product, we can offer a broad set of functionality, consulting and system integration services to current and future customers.”

Latest Compiere Manufacturing will available from mid of June. Company is currently providing a free Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to help users in comparing the cost between various ERP solutions available in the market.
