Twitter Conference to See Launch of Eight New Apps

At the concluding session of The Twitter Conference, eight developers are expected to reveal one new Twitter application apiece to the hundreds of attendees, including:

  • Twilk, an auto background generator for Twitter that creates innovative backgrounds from a collection of the pictures of the people the person keeps in touch with.

  • Flaggpole, a site-based social network that brings people together based on the places they frequent and mean the most to them. These could be community centers, places of worship, a common zip code, a club or even a place of work. Once these places are pinpointed users can use Twitter and micro-messaging to form online communities and converse in a cohesive manner.

  • Publicitweet, a social media activation application that provides users with the tools to analyze in detail campaigns which are conducted on Twitter. The analytics offered are more complex and diverse than the regular clicks per link and tries to generate a detailed and comprehensive report on which users had the most reach and overall saliency of the campaign

  • Jobaba, which users can leverage to bring local services onto the Twitter platform and market them. Interested users need to log on to Jobaba and tweet the request with the keyword; the request gets carried to the relevant service providers in the user’s local area. With Jobaba, service providers can find customers, place a bid or set up site visits.

  • Chatterbox, which brings together all conversation and makes a workspace for summarized views together with tools to listen, respond and organize this information. This is expected to make corporate communication more efficient and streamlined, driving customer satisfaction.

  • Tweetfunnel, which several users can leverage to contribute content and submit for editorial review and approval with this application. Editors can also assign titles, and DMs back to respective contributors for their response.

  • Twittylinks, which users can leverage to tweet to any Web page without leaving the home page, building brand awareness. The more users tweet, the more chance of traffic being driven to his home site.

  • Twittfilter, which people can use to rate friends and others on various parameters such as update rate, keywords etc. New friends are auto ranked. Messages are shown on the basis of the ranks assigned and it also combines the functionality of a searchable address book.
