Levementum Implements Compiere Cloud Edition ERP Software for O-So Pure

Levementum, an open source consulting firm and Compiere partner, has announced the implementation of Compiere Cloud Edition ERP software for their customer O-So Pure, a provider of ultraviolet water purification solutions for use in dental offices.

 

This deployment is seen as a “major milestone” for Levementum. Company officials said that this is the first implementation of a commercial open source ERP application available on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) platform.

 

O-So Pure said that it selected Levementum as a consulting and hosting partner because of the firm's Compiere expertise, experience in deploying enterprise applications using Amazon's EC2. In addition, company’s history of successfully implementing enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions also was one of the reasons.

 

Levementum has a growing practice hosting SugarCRM (News - Alert) in Amazon's cloud computing environment. Officials said that the flexibility and control provided by Compiere Cloud Edition offers new opportunities for customers looking for full-featured ERP at a reduced cost—especially when compared to traditional ERP systems.

 

Levementum offers both hosted SugarCRM and Compiere Cloud Edition as part of its growing software as a service (SaaS (News - Alert))/cloud operations.

 

Geoffrey Mobisson, managing director at Levementum, said that the Cloud Edition provides broad-scale access to robust ERP technology that previously was only available to large companies with extensive budgets, adding that this offering addresses the market's demand for cost effective business solutions.

 

“For companies interested in reducing cost with a full-featured ERP application, they need to take a look at Compiere Cloud Edition,” said Mobisson.

 

Compiere Cloud Edition enables customers to leverage the advantages of cloud computing technology to instantly scale the application up or down, depending on their particular needs.

 

Additionally, Levementum is capable of addressing custom business requirements by deploying custom functionality in Compiere. Officials said that this is not typically practical or permitted with hosted or SaaS software solutions provided by other companies.

Earlier in January, Levementum announced a new support program for SugarCRM that provides customers with technical support and help desk functionality they need in one central location.
