Asterisk Solutions Partner Announces Launch of E-commerce Site

Foehn Ltd, a Digium Asterisk (News - Alert) Solutions partner, has launched its e-commerce portal www.voipfoehn.co.uk which offers products for direct purchase that are built on or integrate with Asterisk.

 

According to Matthew Pitt, sales director at Foehn, the company’s decision to develop and launch an e-commerce site came about because they felt that they could offer more flexibility and value to customers through the use of open source telephony.

 

 “Since becoming involved with the Asterisk community, we developed an appreciation of the whole spectrum of user engagement with this telephony toolkit and that different users require different levels of service and assistance more so than in the proprietary world,” Pitt said

 

Asterisk is a powerful and popular open source telephony development tool-kit. That offers what some industry experts say is flexibility unheard of in the proprietary world.

 

“Asterisk has gained popularity over the years and for Foehn, if there is something new with Asterisk, we want to be involved. If that means the full design and implementation of UC solutions, basic system support and now simply providing an efficient and easy way for customers to access Digium (News - Alert) cards at the best prices we can help,” Pitt said.

 

Visitors to the site can purchase analog and digital Digium cards, Polycom handsets, Switchvox (News - Alert) IP-PBX appliances, licenses and with additional products being added.
