Telrex Call Recording Solution Certified for Digium Asterisk

Digium is on a roll. Just a week after a successful Astricon event, (for images click here) the company is announcing that that Telrex’ CallRex Professional call recording and monitoring solution has been “Digium|Asterisk (News - Alert) Certified” for Asterisk Business Edition. CallRex software from Telrex, an affordable, robust call recording software for Asterisk installations, was thoroughly tested in Digium’s lab to validate its interoperability with Asterisk Business Edition.

Telrex (News - Alert) is a Digium Interoperability Partner.

Telrex president Robert Kapela explained the benefits of being Digium|Asterisk certified.

“Companies and call centers of all sizes can reap the benefits of call recording and monitoring software, allowing them to limit legal liability, improve customer satisfaction and employee productivity, and enhance security.”

“Telrex is pleased to support the Asterisk open source telephony community with affordable and robust call recording solutions,” he said.

Jim Webster (News - Alert), director of technology partnerships for Digium also expressed his pleasure at working with Telrex.

“The addition of CallRex call recording software to the Digium partner ecosystem will benefit small and medium-sized businesses that need to supplement their Asterisk installations with a stand-alone call recording system,” he said. “We are pleased to work with Telrex to offer complementary telephony software solutions that will help our customers.”

Earlier this month, Telrex announced interoperability validation of on-demand recording with the 3Com VCX IP telephony system. Comprehensive testing was completed in the 3Com Open Network Solutions (News - Alert) lab to validate on-demand recording features from CallRex.

CallRex software had been certified on various 3Com (News - Alert) platforms, like the VCX and NBX, since 2003. Certification has also been achieved for the NBX version 6, VCX Enterprise, VCX for IBM System i VCX Connect 200, and VCX Connect 100 line of IP telephony platforms. CallRex also supports 3Com Asterisk installations.

Last year Digium and 3Com made their own news when the two companies announced a partnership designed to expand 3Com's voice product offerings for small businesses. Under the terms of the agreement, 3Com was to offer Digium's award-winning Asterisk Appliance to small businesses that need a reliable, easy-to-deploy voice solution based on open standards.
