Sangoma Technologies Secures Spot on Deloitte's 2011 Technology Fast 500

Remarkable revenue growth and a recent facelift of its business model have landed Sangoma Technologies Corporation on Deloitte’s (News - Alert) Technology Fast 500 list for 2011.

The yearly list has ranked the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America based on their percentage of fiscal year revenue growth during 2006 to 2010. Sangoma Technologies (News - Alert) experienced 162 percent growth during this period.

Sangoma’s spot on the list, according to company officials, is much in accordance with the company’s recent transformation from a company that previously specialized in TDM Telephony Interface boards to a provider of compelling solutions for the IP communications space.

"Sangoma had remarkable revenue growth rates as we came to prominence providing TDM Interface Boards for the Telephony Market,” Bill Wignall, chief executive officer of Sangoma, said in a statement. “Over the past year, we have truly re-built the company, refocusing our efforts on innovation, new product development, marketing and sales, and our distribution partners and customers. We are now starting to see the results and this recognition from Deloitte is another marker on our road to success."

Back in September and prior to TMC’s bi-annual ITEXPO (News - Alert) West 2011 event, which Sangoma co-sponsored, the company’s director of marketing, Jeff Dworkin, expanded upon the company’s recent transformation, noting that the cloud has been one of the driving forces behind the reinvention of Sangoma.

“While our legacy business is all about connecting VoIP systems to the TDM network, our expanded focus providing products and services that expand beyond that narrow piece of the technology landscape,” Dworkin told TMCnet. “Delivering products that can be accessed from the cloud, or in support of a cloud-based installation, are paramount to our roadmap.”
