TMCnet Asterisk Week in Review

September 24, 2011

As this week came to an end, there are many breaking news stories to look back on about Asterisk, as VoIP Unlimited, a U.K. Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Service Provider (ITSP) made an important announcement. The company has just inked a partnership with Kerio Technologies in order to allow Kerio's U.K. channel partners to gain access to innovative SIP trunking solutions that can now be delivered directly to their customers.

In addition, the newly formed partnership will enable VoIP Unlimited to enhance call capacity and flexibility for end customers while simultaneously reducing IP PBX (News - Alert) costs.

“We are thrilled to partner with Kerio and like the idea that their IP PBX system, Kerio Operator 1.1, is available either as a software or hardware appliance deployment,” said Steve Bieniek, strategic alliance director of VoIP Unlimited, in a statement. “Furthermore, the vast majority of our channel is data VARs and this product is ideally suited to the type of partners we support.”

Kerio's Channel Partners will benefit greatly from this collaborative effort, as the company will be able to receive help from various VoIP Unlimited account managers, helping Kerio to efficiently provide their customers with multiple IP Telephony solutions without any disruption.

Furthermore, through this agreement, Kerio resellers will be able to utilize the SIP trace tool through the VoIP Unlimited portal. This allows for an easy way to view SIP traces for every inbound and outbound call through the VoIP core network at all times.
