Xorcom Appoints Lantone Systems as Distributor in Singapore

June 21, 2011

Xorcom (News - Alert), a manufacturer of business telephony interfaces and appliances based on Asterisk open source software, announced Lantone Systems has joined as its distributor in Singapore.

Headquartered in Singapore, Lantone Systems specializes in VoIP infrastructure and supplying telephony products such as Digium, Dialogic, Polycom, CISCO and Linksys (News - Alert).

Under the terms of the distributor partnership agreement, Lantone Systems will be responsible for distributing the entire range of Xorcom's Asterisk-based IP-PBX (News - Alert) and USB2-connected channel banks to qualified resellers in the local market.

Astribank from Xorcom is a versatile and powerful USB channel bank that supports all the common telephony lines and trunks: FXS, FXO, E1/T1 PRI (R2 and CAS) and BRI ISDN.

The driver is specifically designed for the Asterisk (News - Alert) IP-PBX. A part of the standard Asterisk distribution, Astribank makes its integration into any Asterisk-based PBX effortless, company officials said.

Xorcom's Asterisk-based IP-PBX all-in-one appliances allow seamless communication using both VoIP and traditional telephony protocols, such as FXS, FXO, E1/T1 PRI, T1 CAS, E1 R2 and BRI ISDN.

The collaboration between Xorcom and Lantone Systems started as early in 2010. Lantone Systems, one of the earliest Asterisk adopters in Singapore, was appointed in 2010 as the Exclusive Distributor for Yealink (News - Alert). Coincidentally, in March 2010, Xorcom compliance-tested a full range of Yealink SIP-T2x series HD IP phones for interoperability with their IP PBX models.

Sandeep Singhania, technical director at Lantone Systems, said Xorcom's reliable Asterisk PBX appliances will bring far-reaching benefits to their large base of telephony clients. “We are really looking forward to the exciting prospects that will be brought about via this partnership.”

“Recruiting Lantone is in line with our goal to expand our worldwide distribution channel with experienced professionals that can deliver optimal, timely solutions to local resellers,” said Eran Gal, Xorcom’s CEO, in a statement. “We expect Lantone to be able to introduce us to the kind of professional VoIP system integrators we need to take our sales in the Far East to the next level, and are excited about this relationship.”

Back in March, Xorcom announced the launch of a hardware echo canceller module. Offering a high level of echo cancellation, the new echo canceller module is provided as an integral part of the Astribank devices with 6 or more PRI ports.
